Estudio Mero is a Mexico City-based design firm founded by Horacio Gutiérrez Merediz and Rodrigo Degetau Vom Hovel. The studio specializes in architecture and interior design, centering its practice on the context and its connection to the human experience.
Estudio Mero creates the necessary conditions for projects to achieve well-being through experimentation and close collaboration with stakeholders, while maximizing existing resources.
The firm has developed various project typologies both within and beyond Mexico City, gaining extensive experience in design, management, and construction in Mexican cities such as Mérida, Cancún, Tulum, San Miguel de Allende, Acapulco, Los Cabos, and Valle de Bravo, as well as design and supervision projects in international cities like Beijing.
MERO operates through an active network of collaborators that expands and strengthens its internal structure. This network integrates suppliers, clients, consultants, specialists, and strategic allies who participate in the various stages of each project.
We understand architectural practice as an articulated exercise, where technical knowledge, territorial expertise, management, and feedback from those who inhabit or use the spaces are all part of the same process. This collaborative network allows us to incorporate specific capabilities tailored to the needs of each commission, maintain high-quality standards, and respond with rigor to diverse contexts.
Consequently, Estudio MERO functions as a platform for coordinated and collaborative work. Every person involved contributes expertise, judgment, and shared responsibility. This configuration enables us to sustain complex processes, optimize resources, and build long-term relationships based on trust and professionalism.
